Humility in Prayer

IMG_1127“Because you humbled yourself before Me and tore your robes and wept in My presence, I have heard you, declares the Lord.” (2 Chronicles 34:27)

Humility is a central theme in the Bible. When we humble ourselves before God, we allow God to rule and direct our lives as He sees fit.

When we come before our Mighty High God with a sincere and reverent attitude, we position ourselves to receive Him in all His Fullness, for we have come to know that it is He who works Righteousness in our lives and it is He who moves in miraculous ways in and through us, touching the hearts of those we administer His Grace, Compassion and Mercy to.

Lord God, open our eyes today to see you in our world. Lord, open our ears today to hear your still voice, leading us in Your ways. Lord open our hearts today, to receive from you all that you have in store for us this day.

Lord, cause us to be sensitive to those we interact with today. Help us to hear the unspoken needs around us. Help us to Be you in our thoughts, in our words, and in our actions today.

Cause us to be sincere when we interact with others that our Love would be something seen and evident in the ways we honor, respect, and listen to others in our desire to Be you today. Cause us to follow through with what we say we will do and not let anyone You have put in our care, fall through the cracks.

Lord we need you in all your Glory to fill us anew each moment and there is nothing we can do without your abundant Life living in and through us, guiding, directing, providing wisdom for the moment.

Grant us wisdom in discerning those around us who need your touch of Mercy today. Grant us wisdom to discern those hurting today who need a touch of Your Compassion.

Grant us wisdom to discern those who we need to reach Your hand of Grace to today Oh Lord, and lead us in the ways of Righteousness in all our moments, that we may be obedient to You in following as True disciples.
